About us

Mission

The mission of our Port, Transport and Logistics Centre of Excellence, an alliance between STC-Group (The Netherlands) and Universidad del Norte (Colombia), consistent with the principles, values ​​and objectives that guide since its inception, is the integral formation of the person at supervisory, management and high management level, and the contribution, by its institutional presence in Colombia, to the harmonious development of society by providing a qualified workforce for existing and to be established Dutch and Colombian (port, transport and logistics) companies, as well as for the whole surrounding community.

The Centre fulfils these principles through educational programs and technical assistance with competent subject matter experts from both Colombia and the Netherlands, with vast working experience in the port, transport and logistics sector.

The educational programs provided by the Centre are intended for supervisors and managers in private and public organizations involved in activities related to supply chain management, port operation, transport planning, infrastructure development, freight brokers, freight forwarders, transshipment, warehousing, customs among other areas.

Since its inception, the Centre is committed, to all dimensions of social, economic, political, environmental and cultural development, and social responsibility

Vision

Our Port, Transport and Logistics Centre of Excellence is an alliance between STC-Group (The Netherlands) and Universidad del Norte (Colombia).

In 2020, our Port, Transport and Logistics Centre of Excellence will be recognized in Colombia and the region for its commitment to excellence in educational programs and technical assistance, including the exchange and transfer of knowledge, its high impact on regional and national development and dialogue with society in the continuous search for a better future. The Centre will contribute to the improvement of the operational efficiency and competitiveness of the national transportation and logistics system in Colombia, which will also benefit the region.

Also, the bond between Colombia and The Netherlands is being strengthened and  Dutch and Colombian companies doing business in the port, transport and logistics sectors in Colombia and in the region are supported by the Centre increasing and boosting the competitiveness of its participants, who are strategic partners in strengthening links with the public and private sector.

In the realization of vision 2020, the Centre strengths and expands its educational programs and technical assistance services, its position in international rankings in recognition of excellence in the teaching-learning innovation and education and the international promotion.
